British Airways Business & First Class
from$2,400round trip · per person
British Airways flies to more US cities than any other European airline — more than twenty-five — and it is the only carrier with a genuine First Class cabin on most US–London routes. Club Suite, its business seat with a sliding door, has replaced the old cabin on most long-haul aircraft, and Heathrow Terminal 5, with the Concorde Room for First, is BA's own.

The seat
What makes Club Suite different
Club Suite is a proper modern business seat: 1-2-1, a sliding door, direct aisle access, an 18.5-inch screen and a bed that is genuinely private — a transformation from the old Club World, where eight seats across faced in alternating directions and window passengers climbed over a neighbor. That old seat still flies on some aircraft, and it is the reason to check the equipment. BA First is a quieter, more traditional First: an open suite with a wide seat and ottoman, a bed made up by the crew, an à la carte menu, and on the ground the Concorde Room at Terminal 5, with waiter-served dining, private cabanas and a terrace, and dedicated First check-in and security. From New York JFK, BA's home is Terminal 8 with American, where the Chelsea Lounge serves First and the Soho Lounge serves Club Suite passengers.

Why it is worth it
Benefits of flying British Airways in a premium cabin
7 things that come with the ticket, before you count the seat itself.
Club Suite with a sliding door on most US routes; the older cabin is being retired
First Class on more US–Europe routes than any other airline
The Concorde Room at Heathrow Terminal 5 and the Chelsea Lounge at JFK for First passengers
Free Wi-Fi messaging; paid full Wi-Fi in Club; complimentary in First
The largest US network of any European airline, and one-stop access to 200+ destinations via Heathrow
oneworld Sapphire benefits when connecting on American, Qatar, Cathay Pacific or Iberia
Amenity kits by The White Company in Club and First; pajamas in First and on some Club routes
British Airways lounges
At Heathrow Terminal 5, First passengers use the Concorde Room (waiter service, cabanas, a terrace) or Galleries First, and Club passengers use the Galleries Club lounges in the main terminal and the B and C satellites; there is an Arrivals Lounge with showers and breakfast for inbound premium passengers. In the US, BA operates lounges at New York JFK Terminal 8 (the Chelsea Lounge for First, the Soho Lounge for Club, shared with American), Washington, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and other gateways, and uses American's Flagship or Admirals Clubs elsewhere.
Upgrades: can you move up?
BA sells cash upgrades to First before departure and at the airport, and members of The British Airways Club can upgrade eligible Club fares to First with Avios — BA is one of the more flexible carriers on this. Negotiated fares are booked into specific classes, and some are excluded from Avios upgrades; ask us before booking. Because First flies on so many US routes, we quote it alongside Club Suite as a matter of course, and on off-peak dates the gap can be modest.
Important to know before you book
- The old Club World seat still operates on some 777s, 787-8s and A380s. We confirm Club Suite before we quote.
- BA charges fuel surcharges on award tickets but not on cash fares — irrelevant to our contract fares, relevant if you are comparing with a mileage redemption.
- Heathrow Terminal 5 is BA's; Terminal 3 handles a few BA flights and the oneworld partners. Gatwick is used for some leisure routes.
- Heathrow has a First Wing with private security for First passengers and Gold members.
Rankings and reviews
British Airways holds Skytrax's 4-Star rating and has been ranked among the top airlines in Western Europe; the Club Suite rollout has been widely reviewed as one of the most significant improvements any legacy carrier has made to business class, and the Concorde Room remains one of the best-known First Class lounges in the world.
Why book British Airways with LuxeSkies
BA's fares from the US are the most competitive in Europe because six airlines fight over the London route — which means the difference between a public fare and a negotiated one is real. We hold contract fares from $2,400 round trip in Club Suite, confirm the aircraft so you get the new seat, quote First on every route that carries it, and price London against one-stop through-fares to Europe, Africa, India and the Caribbean. One manager from quote to e-ticket.
British Airways questions
How much is British Airways business class from the US?
Our negotiated starting fares are $2,400 round trip from New York for lead-time bookings; Chicago, Washington and Boston are slightly higher, Miami around $2,850, and the West Coast around $3,100. First Class is quoted on request.
Which British Airways flights have Club Suite?
The A350, 787-10, retrofitted 777s and 787-9s, which operate most US routes. Some 777s, 787-8s and A380s still carry the older Club World seat; we confirm before quoting.
Does British Airways have First Class from the US?
Yes — on most US–Heathrow routes, on the 777, A380, 787-9 and 787-10. First passengers use the Concorde Room at Terminal 5 and the Chelsea Lounge at JFK.
Can I connect through London to Europe, Africa or the Caribbean on one BA ticket?
Yes. Heathrow connects to 200+ destinations, and a through-fare on BA usually prices close to London alone. BA's Caribbean flights from London are a lie-flat option when the US–Caribbean nonstops are recliner-only.

“Steven was enthusiastic (to a fault). His first of three offers was about 10% above my budget but the flights really fit the schedule so well I had to say yes. The other two offers were cheaper but the timing was off for me.”
