Emirates Business & First Class

from$2,200round trip · per person

Emirates flies the world's largest A380 fleet, and everything people picture when they imagine luxury flying — the onboard bar, the shower spa in First, the enclosed suites, the chauffeur at both ends — is on it. From twelve US cities and two European fifth-freedom routes, it is the easiest First Class ticket to buy from the United States, and one of the most negotiable.

The seat

What makes Business Class different

On the A380, business class is a 1-2-1 lie-flat cabin with a private minibar at each seat and a walk-up bar at the back where the crew mix drinks for most of the flight; it is the most sociable premium cabin in the sky. First Class on the A380 is fourteen enclosed suites with doors, a 32-inch screen, a vanity, and two shower spas — you book a 30-minute slot with an attendant, and the shower itself runs for five minutes. On the newest 777s, the "Game Changer" First suite is a fully enclosed room with floor-to-ceiling doors, virtual windows on the center seats and a video-call button for the crew. The important caveat is the older 777-300ER business cabin, which is a 2-3-2 layout without direct aisle access for the middle seat; we tell you which aircraft you are booked on.

Why it is worth it

Benefits of flying Emirates in a premium cabin

7 things that come with the ticket, before you count the seat itself.

  • Complimentary chauffeur-drive to and from the airport at both ends on First and most Business fares (some discounted "Special" fares exclude it — we say which)

  • Onboard bar and lounge on every A380 for Business and First passengers

  • Shower spa in A380 First Class, with an attendant and a fresh-pressed set of pajamas

  • ice, the inflight entertainment system that wins Skytrax's award most years, with 6,500+ channels

  • Free Wi-Fi in First and for Skywards members in Business on most aircraft

  • Bulgari amenity kits, mattress toppers, and pajamas in Business on long-haul

  • Dubai Connect free stopover hotel on qualifying long connections, and a formal Dubai stopover program

Emirates lounges

Emirates operates its own lounges at New York JFK, Boston, Washington, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and uses partner lounges at its other US gateways. In Dubai, Terminal 3 is Emirates' own terminal, with Business Class lounges occupying entire floors of Concourses A, B and C — boarding is directly from the A-concourse lounges onto the A380 — and separate First Class lounges with a spa, à la carte dining and a cigar lounge. No status is required; the boarding pass is the entry.

Upgrades: can you move up?

Emirates is the easiest airline to upgrade on from the US. Skywards members can upgrade Business to First with miles on eligible fares, the airline sells cash upgrades online, in the app and at check-in when First is open, and the gap between a Business and a First contract fare is often smaller than travelers expect. If First is the goal, tell us before booking: a negotiated First fare on the A380 from New York or Los Angeles is frequently within reach of a full-fare Business seat.

Important to know before you book

Rankings and reviews

Emirates is consistently ranked among the top ten airlines in the world by Skytrax, wins the World's Best Inflight Entertainment award most years for ice, and its First Class is one of the two or three most-reviewed premium products in aviation. AirlineRatings ranks it among the safest full-service carriers each year.

Why book Emirates with LuxeSkies

Emirates' fare structure is layered — Special, Saver, Flex and Flex Plus in each cabin — and the differences hide in the fine print: chauffeur-drive, change fees, mileage earning, upgrade eligibility. We hold contract fares from $2,200 round trip in Business, know which fare types include the car, confirm whether your flight is an A380 or a 777, and quote First alongside Business every time it is within range. One manager, one quote, a reply in 30 minutes.

Emirates questions

How much is Emirates business class from the US?

Our negotiated starting fares begin at $2,200 round trip for lead-time bookings, with Dubai from New York around $3,200 on peak-season dates and lower in summer. First Class is quoted on request and is often closer to Business than you would expect.

Which Emirates flights from the US have First Class?

Every Emirates route from the US carries a First Class cabin — the A380 on the largest routes and the 777-300ER on the rest — plus the fifth-freedom New York–Milan and Newark–Athens flights.

Is chauffeur-drive included in Emirates business class?

On Flex and Flex Plus business fares and all First fares, yes, at both ends of the journey. The discounted Special fare excludes it. We tell you which fare type you are being quoted.

Does Emirates business class have a bar?

On the A380, yes — a walk-up lounge and bar at the rear of the upper deck, open for most of the flight to Business and First passengers. The 777 has no bar.

“Steven was enthusiastic (to a fault). His first of three offers was about 10% above my budget but the flights really fit the schedule so well I had to say yes. The other two offers were cheaper but the timing was off for me.”

“It was great! So helpful and patient the only negative thing I can say is it wasn’t communicated the price for assistance until I already paid and left a tip.”
