Business Class Flights to Venice
from$2,500round trip · per person
Venice is the only city in the world where the airport transfer is a boat, and from spring through autumn you can fly there overnight from New York, Newark, Atlanta or Philadelphia in a flat bed and be on a water taxi to the Grand Canal by 10am. The nonstops are seasonal; in winter a one-stop through a European hub gets you to Carnival or a quiet, fog-wrapped February in a comparable cabin.

Flying Business Class to Venice
Delta flies New York–Venice and Atlanta–Venice, United Newark–Venice and American Philadelphia–Venice, all with lie-flat business cabins and all seasonal — roughly April through October. From November to March there are no nonstops, and the one-stop list is strong: Lufthansa via Frankfurt or Munich, SWISS via Zurich, Air France via Paris, KLM via Amsterdam, British Airways via London and ITA Airways via Rome, each reaching Venice in about an hour from the hub. Because the transatlantic leg on those itineraries is a competitive hub route, the winter one-stop fare is often below the summer nonstop price. No flight to Venice has a First Class cabin, but Lufthansa First, SWISS First or Emirates First (via Milan or Dubai) on the long leg plus a short hop is a real option.
Marco Polo is on the lagoon, and the arrival is the trip's first pleasure: a private water taxi to your hotel's own dock takes about 30 minutes, the Alilaguna public boat about an hour, and the bus to Piazzale Roma 20 minutes if you would rather start with the vaporetto. Venice is also a rail hub for the Veneto and beyond — Verona is 70 minutes, Padua 25, Florence just over two hours and Milan two and a half. An open-jaw into Venice and out of Rome, Florence or Milan is one of the most efficient ways to see northern Italy, and we price it at or near a simple round trip.
The calendar matters here more than almost anywhere. Carnival in February (dates follow Easter) sells out hotels and premium seats months ahead; the Biennale (art in odd years, architecture in even years, May–November) and the Film Festival (late August–early September) add business demand; July–August brings heat, crowds and the highest fares on the nonstops. April–June and September–October are the sweet spot, with business seats from New York closest to our $2,500 starting price. November is acqua alta season; December through March is quiet, atmospheric and cheapest — if you can live with a one-stop.

Venice flight questions
How much is business class to Venice from the US?
Our negotiated starting fares are $2,500 round trip from New York for lead-time bookings on the seasonal nonstops; Atlanta and Philadelphia start close to that. Carnival, the Film Festival and July–August price higher; winter one-stop fares are usually lower.
Is there a nonstop business-class flight to Venice from the US?
Yes, in season — typically April through October — on Delta from New York and Atlanta, United from Newark and American from Philadelphia. In winter, connect through Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Paris, Amsterdam, London or Rome.
How long is the flight from New York to Venice?
About 8½ hours eastbound overnight on the nonstop and 9½ hours on the return; with a European connection, allow 10–11 hours.
Should I fly into Venice or Milan for northern Italy?
Venice if Venice is the point — the lagoon arrival is part of the experience. Milan has year-round nonstops, Emirates First Class from New York, and is two and a half hours by train from Venice. For a loop, fly into one and home from the other on an open-jaw fare.

“Steven was enthusiastic (to a fault). His first of three offers was about 10% above my budget but the flights really fit the schedule so well I had to say yes. The other two offers were cheaper but the timing was off for me.”
