Iberia Business Class
from$2,400round trip · per person
Iberia's A350 business cabin is widely rated the best on any US–Spain route — a 1-2-1 lie-flat with direct aisle access, Spanish cuisine and a Rioja list — and Madrid's Terminal 4 is one of the smoothest hubs in Europe. Nonstop from eight US cities, and the best connecting point in the world for Seville, Lisbon, Porto and the whole of Latin America.

The seat
What makes Business Class different
The A350 business seat is a reverse-herringbone 1-2-1 with a large screen, good storage and a bed that reviewers consistently rate above the US carriers' on the same route; the newest A350 deliveries add a sliding door. The catering is Spanish — jamón, a proper tortilla, Spanish cheeses, Rioja and Ribera del Duero — and the crews are among the warmest in Europe. Madrid Terminal 4S, Iberia's long-haul home, has the Velázquez Premium Lounge with a Spanish restaurant, a wine bar and showers, and connections to the rest of Spain, Portugal and Latin America in under an hour.

Iberia lounges
Madrid Terminal 4S: the Velázquez Premium Lounge, with a restaurant, a wine bar, showers and rest areas, open to all business-class passengers on long-haul departures; the Dalí Lounge in Terminal 4 serves short-haul. In the US, Iberia uses American's Flagship and Admirals Club lounges and British Airways lounges where available.
Upgrades: can you move up?
Iberia sells upgrade bids and cash upgrades before departure, and Iberia Plus members can upgrade eligible fares with Avios. There is no First Class; Business is the top cabin and our contract fares put you in it.
Important to know before you book
- Iberia and American are joint-venture partners with British Airways; the flight you book may be American-operated with a different cabin. We confirm the operating carrier.
- The A330s carry an older 1-2-1 seat than the A350; both are lie-flat.
- Madrid is hot in July–August; April–June and September–October are the sweet spot.
- Iberia's Latin American through-fares are often lower than the US nonstops to the same cities.
Rankings and reviews
Iberia has been named the most punctual airline in Europe by several trackers in recent years, holds a Skytrax 4-Star rating, and its A350 business cabin has been reviewed as the best business product across the Atlantic to Spain; the Velázquez lounge is consistently ranked among Europe's top ten.
Why book Iberia with LuxeSkies
Iberia's US fares are sold jointly with American and British Airways, and the three price the same seat differently by code and season. We hold contract fares from $2,400 round trip, price Iberia against American on the same route, confirm the aircraft, and use Madrid's connections to build Spain, Portugal and Latin America itineraries that the nonstops cannot match.
Iberia questions
How much is Iberia business class from the US?
Our negotiated starting fares are $2,400 round trip from New York for lead-time bookings; Miami, Chicago and Dallas are slightly higher and the West Coast around $2,900. Through-fares to Latin America are quoted on request.
Does Iberia have First Class?
No. Business is the top cabin — a lie-flat 1-2-1 on the A350, with doors on the newest aircraft.
Is Iberia good for connecting to Latin America?
Excellent. Madrid is the largest European gateway to South America, and Iberia flies Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Rio, Santiago, Lima, Bogotá and Mexico City in the same cabin; a through-fare often prices below the US nonstops.
Which is better, Iberia or American, to Madrid?
Iberia's A350 business cabin is generally rated the better seat and the better food; American's newest 787-9P with Flagship Suite is comparable. On most dates the two are joint-venture priced, so we quote both and you choose on aircraft and schedule.

“Steven was enthusiastic (to a fault). His first of three offers was about 10% above my budget but the flights really fit the schedule so well I had to say yes. The other two offers were cheaper but the timing was off for me.”
