from$2,500round trip · per person
SWISS flies Zurich nonstop from eight US cities and offers the most accessible First Class to Europe — eight seats on the 777-300ER, a lounge with a terrace over the runway, and a limousine to the aircraft door. Its new SWISS Senses business cabin, with sliding doors and a double bed option, is arriving across the fleet, and the Swiss catering, wine and chocolate program is exactly what you would hope.

The seat
What makes SWISS Business different
SWISS First is the most understated First Class in Europe and, for many clients, the best value: eight seats on the 777 in a 1-2-1 layout, each converting to a wide bed behind a privacy screen, with a chef-designed Swiss menu, a caviar service and a wine list heavy on Swiss and Burgundian bottles. On the ground it is the part people remember — a dedicated First check-in, the lounge terrace, a limousine across the apron. In Business, the older seat is a staggered lie-flat with prized solo "throne" seats that have no neighbor; SWISS Senses replaces it with a 1-2-1 suite with doors and adds a double-bed option in the center. Both are good; we tell you which you are booked on.

In the US, SWISS operates its own lounge at New York JFK Terminal 4 and uses Star Alliance partner lounges elsewhere.
Upgrades: can you move up?
SWISS and Lufthansa Group sell upgrade bids, cash upgrades before departure, and Miles & More mileage upgrades on eligible fares. Because SWISS First is comparatively small and fairly priced, the most reliable way into it is to book it: a negotiated First fare on the New York, Chicago, Los Angeles or San Francisco 777 routes regularly lands within a few hundred dollars of a full-fare business seat. We quote both together.
Important to know before you book
- First Class flies on the 777-300ER from New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco; other routes are Business-topped.
- The solo "throne" seats on the older business cabin are the best in the cabin and cannot always be reserved in advance without status; ask us.
- SWISS is owned by Lufthansa Group; fares are coordinated with Lufthansa and Austrian, so the useful comparison is against United and Delta.
- Zurich Airport's E gates are reached by an underground train; allow 15 minutes.
Rankings and reviews
SWISS holds Skytrax's 4-Star Airline rating and has won Best Airline in Western Europe and Best First Class Lounge awards in recent years; its First Class is regularly ranked among the top five in the world by reviewers, particularly for the ground experience in Zurich.
Why book SWISS with LuxeSkies

One manager, a reply in 30 minutes.

“Steven was enthusiastic (to a fault). His first of three offers was about 10% above my budget but the flights really fit the schedule so well I had to say yes. The other two offers were cheaper but the timing was off for me.”
