Business Class Flights to Fiji

from$4,200round trip · per person

Fiji is the closest South Pacific island group to the mainland US — eleven hours from Los Angeles or San Francisco on Fiji Airways' A350, with a lie-flat 1-2-1 business cabin — and the smartest place to break a trip to Australia or New Zealand, four hours further on. Nadi is the door to the Mamanucas and Yasawas by boat or seaplane, the Coral Coast by road and Taveuni by a short flight, and it is our lowest South Pacific starting fare.

Arrival airport

Nadi International (NAN); Denarau's marina and resorts are 20 minutes, the Coral Coast an hour, the Mamanucas 45–90 minutes by boat or 15 by seaplane, the Yasawas by seaplane or helicopter

Flight time

~11h from Los Angeles or San Francisco · ~14h from Dallas · ~6h from Honolulu

Time difference

16 hours ahead of Eastern (17 in the US winter — Fiji does not change clocks)

Best time to go

May–October (dry season); Australian and New Zealand school holidays (late June–July, late September–October, December–January) lift resort prices; November–April is warmer, wetter and cheaper, with cyclone risk highest January–March

Flying Business Class to Fiji

Fiji Airways, a oneworld member since 2025, is the only carrier: nonstop from Los Angeles and San Francisco on the A350-900 with a lie-flat 1-2-1 business cabin, from Dallas on the A350 (fourteen hours), and from Honolulu on the A330 with a 2-2-2 lie-flat cabin. There is no First Class. American sells the route as a codeshare partner, and from the East Coast and the middle of the country a same-day connection to Los Angeles or Dallas is the routing. Fiji Airways continues from Nadi to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane (four hours), Auckland (three), Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo — which is why the Fiji stopover is one of the best-value premium itineraries on the Pacific: eleven hours to the islands, a few nights on the beach, then a short hop to Australia or New Zealand on the same ticket.

The flights leave Los Angeles and San Francisco around 10 or 11pm and land in Nadi around 5 or 6am two calendar days later, having crossed the date line. Nadi's terminal is small and quick, and the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge serves the return. Denarau, 20 minutes away, is the marina and the big-brand resort strip, and the departure point for the Mamanuca boats (45–90 minutes to Malolo, Tokoriki, Vomo); South Sea Cruises and the resorts arrange them. Seaplanes and helicopters reach the Mamanucas in 15 minutes and the Yasawas (Turtle Island, Yasawa Island Resort) in 30; they fly in daylight, so a dawn arrival connects the same morning. Fiji Link flies Savusavu and Taveuni (Vanua Levu, Laucala, Matangi) in about an hour, and the Coral Coast and Pacific Harbour are an hour or two by road.

Fiji's dry season runs May through October — sunny, 80°F, cooler nights — and it is the season for diving, the Yasawas and the outer islands; the Australian and New Zealand school holidays inside it lift resort prices, though the flights from the US are less affected. November through April is warmer and wetter, with cyclone risk highest from January to March, and brings lower fares — our $4,200 starting fare from Los Angeles is a shoulder-season price, and the wet-season lows sit below it. Christmas–New Year is the one wet-season peak.

Fiji flight questions

How much is business class to Fiji from the US?

Our negotiated starting fares are $4,200 round trip from Los Angeles for lead-time bookings — the lowest South Pacific fare on our site; San Francisco is close and Dallas higher. Through-fares to Sydney or Auckland with a Fiji stopover are quoted on request, and are often barely more than Fiji alone.

Is Fiji Airways business class lie-flat?

Yes — a 1-2-1 lie-flat cabin with direct aisle access on the A350 from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Dallas; the A330 from Honolulu has a 2-2-2 lie-flat cabin. There is no First Class.

How long is the flight from Los Angeles to Fiji?

About 11 hours westbound, leaving late in the evening and landing early in the morning two calendar days later across the date line; the return is around 10 hours and lands the same calendar day it leaves.

Can I stop in Fiji on the way to Australia or New Zealand?

Yes — and it is one of the best-value premium itineraries on the Pacific. Eleven hours to Nadi, a few nights in the islands, then four hours to Sydney or three to Auckland on the same Fiji Airways ticket.

“Steven was enthusiastic (to a fault). His first of three offers was about 10% above my budget but the flights really fit the schedule so well I had to say yes. The other two offers were cheaper but the timing was off for me.”

“It was great! So helpful and patient the only negative thing I can say is it wasn’t communicated the price for assistance until I already paid and left a tip.”
