Business & First Class Flights to Aruba

Flying Business & First Class to Aruba
Aruba is one of the few islands with a lie-flat option: JetBlue flies Mint on some New York JFK–Aruba frequencies, seasonally, with suites that have a sliding door. Otherwise the nonstops are narrowbodies with recliner First Class on American from Miami, Charlotte, Philadelphia, Dallas and New York; Delta from Atlanta, New York and Boston; and United from Newark, Houston, Chicago and Washington. Southwest flies without a premium cabin. KLM flies lie-flat World Business Class from Amsterdam for clients combining Europe and the island. The preclearance point is the practical one: you clear US immigration and customs in Aruba, land at home as a domestic passenger, and connect without another queue.
Queen Beatrix is 15 minutes from the Palm Beach high-rise hotels and Eagle Beach's low-rise ones, and 10 from Oranjestad. The island is small — 20 miles long — and a rental car is the norm; resorts arrange transfers. Aruba's appeal is reliability: constant trade winds, 82°F water, sunshine nearly every day, and a resort strip that runs from big-brand hotels on Palm Beach to boutique properties on Eagle Beach and the quieter north.
Because Aruba is outside the hurricane belt and dry year-round, its calendar is driven by US holidays rather than weather: Christmas–New Year, Presidents' Day and spring break are the peaks, and the front cabin on New York and Boston flights fills first. Carnival runs January to February. May through August is warm and good value, and September–October — hurricane season everywhere else — is Aruba's quietest, cheapest window, well below our $1,200 starting fare from New York.

Aruba flight questions
How much is a premium-cabin flight to Aruba?
Our negotiated starting fares are $1,200 round trip from New York for lead-time bookings; Miami is lower, Atlanta and Charlotte similar, Boston and Chicago slightly higher. JetBlue Mint lie-flat from JFK is quoted separately. Christmas, Presidents' Day and spring break price higher.
Is there lie-flat business class to Aruba?
Yes, on some JetBlue Mint flights from New York JFK, seasonally. American, Delta and United fly narrowbody recliner First Class. We confirm which.
Is Aruba safe from hurricanes?
It sits outside the main hurricane belt and is rarely affected — which is why it is the island to book for September and October, when the rest of the Caribbean is at highest risk and Aruba is at its cheapest.
What is US preclearance at Aruba?
You clear US immigration and customs in Aruba before boarding the flight home, then land in the US as a domestic passenger. Allow an extra 45 minutes before departure.

“Steven was enthusiastic (to a fault). His first of three offers was about 10% above my budget but the flights really fit the schedule so well I had to say yes. The other two offers were cheaper but the timing was off for me.”
