Turks & Caicos is Grace Bay — twelve miles of the most photographed beach in the Caribbean, fifteen minutes from Providenciales airport — and a handful of private islands a boat ride beyond. Three and a half hours from New York, under two from Miami, and a front-cabin seat that matters on a route where the whole plane is heading to the same three resorts on the same Saturday.

Flying Business & First Class to Turks & Caicos

The nonstops are narrowbodies with recliner First Class on American from Miami, Charlotte, Dallas, Philadelphia, New York and Boston; Delta from Atlanta and New York; and United from Newark, Houston, Chicago and Washington. JetBlue flies from New York, Boston and Fort Lauderdale without Mint on most frequencies; Southwest flies without a premium cabin. No lie-flat seat operates from the US. British Airways flies lie-flat from London via Antigua for clients combining the two. On a Saturday in February the front cabin is worth it for the priority line alone; Providenciales' arrivals hall is small and the resort transfers wait outside.

Providenciales is compact: Grace Bay is 15 minutes, and the top resorts — Grace Bay Club, the Palms, Wymara, Amanyara on the northwest coast — arrange transfers. Parrot Cay, Como's private island, is reached by a 35-minute boat from a dock near the airport; the resort coordinates it with your arrival time, and so do we. The airport has a paid VIP fast-track service for arrivals and departures, which we can add; the departure lounge is small.

December through April is the season, and Turks & Caicos sells out harder than any other island on this list: Christmas–New Year and Presidents' Day week are booked months ahead at the resorts, and the front cabin on New York flights goes with them. May and early June are warm, calm and good value. Hurricane season runs June to November; September and October carry the highest risk and the lowest fares, well below our $1,300 starting fare from New York — but some resorts close for September.

Turks & Caicos flight questions

How much is a premium-cabin flight to Turks & Caicos?

Our negotiated starting fares are $1,300 round trip from New York for lead-time bookings; Miami is lower, Atlanta and Charlotte similar, Boston, Dallas and Chicago slightly higher. Christmas–New Year and Presidents' Day price considerably higher and sell out early.

Is business class to Turks & Caicos lie-flat?

No — every US nonstop is a narrowbody with recliner First Class. We say so before you book; the value is priority handling, the lounge, bags and a quiet cabin on a full Saturday flight.

How far is Grace Bay from the airport?

Fifteen minutes. Parrot Cay is a 35-minute boat transfer arranged by the resort; Amanyara is a 30-minute drive to the northwest coast.

When should I book Turks & Caicos for Christmas or Presidents' Day?

By September for Christmas and by November for Presidents' Day. The resorts fill first, then the front cabins on the New York, Boston and Atlanta nonstops.

“Steven was enthusiastic (to a fault). His first of three offers was about 10% above my budget but the flights really fit the schedule so well I had to say yes. The other two offers were cheaper but the timing was off for me.”

“It was great! So helpful and patient the only negative thing I can say is it wasn’t communicated the price for assistance until I already paid and left a tip.”
